It's coming, I promise......

Pt 4. of my NYC journey is coming...I swear. I've just been running about everywhere this weekend. I'll finally settle down some tomorrow, but after I've cleaned out my garage which needs it desperately. Until then, a little tease:

Got these where you are?

Mmmmm, junk food! I'm always excited by that, don't recognise the brand though?

No, we don't.

(Well, we do, but they're imports like McDonald's)

And in a way, I thank the lord we don't have them ;-)

Bendy - Well, White Castle is in a limited number of states, but they are older, far older than McDonald's, having been founded in the 20's. My personal best is 8 cheeseburgers. (They're small things.) Then again, after a couple of bowls of hash, anything is possible. Need more info? Rent "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle." It will all come into focus, once the high clears. ;-)

Claudia - Now, do I go and barf all over your blog? Hmm? Now go get some paper towels and clean up your mess young lady, or I will kidnap you and take you to a steakhouse as punishment. (Unless you can think of another form of "punishment," you bad girl you.)

Peter - Well, I understand your sentiments, but unlike a lot of other Americans, junk food is something I don't often indulge in. This was a trip down memory lane for me though, and it wasn't just the hamburgers, but the onion rings and vanilla thick shake that went along with it were a slice of heaven.

The funny thing is, after my transplant I was so underweight, that the transplant team actually ENCOURAGED me to eat junk food. They weren't worried about diet at that point, just to get my weight back to normal, then concentrate on good eating.

Nope, never heard of White Castle. Is that what the burger joint in White Palace was named after, do you think?
