His eyes were much bigger than his stomach.

Der Spiegel has the full story on this gluttonous catfish that met his doom while feasting on a soccer ball. Then again, as Germany just lost to Spain in the Euro cup, I can't help but wonder if this is the catfish equivalent of sepukku, and he is atoning for Germany's disgrace.

Hmm...Perhaps an hours d'oeuvre of a golf ball would have been a better choice? It just shows that mother was right when she told me to take small bites and chew thoroughly.

Perhaps he should have taken up bicycling instead.

Claudia - Oh come now, don't let a little thing like decorum stop you. ;-)

Oh darling, be very, very careful, my comments alone have been known to instantly change the rating of a person's blog. I always behave on my blog *crosses her fingers behind her back* so I rather enjoy waxing nasty on other people's blogs. But see, we are new friends, so I figured I would start off on my best behavior and win you over to the darkside before stepping over the boundaries of decorum.

Now that I have your permission (in writing!!) I will remember to let the inner debauchery loose on your next post...bwahahahahaha.

Debauch away may dear. That is why I moderate!

caludia - Haha! I don't mean moderating you my dear, I mean anyone else who I don't know and goes too far. Like I said, debauch away.

Got it, and Peter was kind enough to point out that he had a link to your blog on his site, I was just too dumb to notice it. ;-)

I've seen a different pic of a catfish with a soccer ball stuck in his mouth before - they must make a habit of it!

Funny post, but the comments are almost funnier. LOL!

*Runs off to check out Claudia's blog*
