Mine are better than Van Gogh's .......
Holly is a big fan of lilac's, and while I am not huge on flowers per se, I can appreciate certain ones. We have irises in our front and backyard's, and they are a bumper crop this year: (There are many more that have not bloomed yet.)
I don't know about Van Gogh, but I'll take mine any old time........

I LOVE irises! And the deep purple ones are my favourites! Yours are definitely better than Van Gogh's.
I was disappointed a few years back when I bought some for the pond. The label said deep purple, but they turned out to be a pale lilac. Still pretty, but not what I wanted. *Sigh*
Wel I have to admit to be rather a fan of the 'mad man' but yours are certainly pretty fab, see what you can get for 'em at aucion maybe? ;o)
Your irises are gorgeous.... mine have yet to bloom. I'm jealous. But I admit I still like van Gogh's, and don't really want to compare his to a photo, since that sort of realism wasn't the point for him.
the one thing I don't like about irises: no pretty smell.
