Well, this is one I don't agree with...if a person has talent, something good in him / her, he / she will find it no matter what.
GG - I look at it as a caution against trying to change too many things about yourself. Change is good, but one needs to be able sensible about it. Having been through therapy, I get that totally.
I've been thinking about your comment, on and off, all day...and it's finally dawned on me that maybe you're saying we must be true to ourselves...?
GG - That's a huge part of it, most definitely. The other thing is that we are all a mixture of good and evil. The part of us that we think of as evil, and that most of us control, is often the very thing that drives us forward, to excel. it all boils down to how we choose to use it.
Does anyone know which of Nietzsche's writings this quote came from?
